LGU Maasin receives ISO certification

The local government of Maasin City has successfully reached a significant milestone by obtaining its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification, reflecting its dedication to quality, transparency, and efficiency in public service. 

During the flag raising ceremony, Councilor Mikhael ‘Mikee’ Mercado, chairman of ICT committee, presented the ISO certification that highlighted the LGU’s achievement before city officials and employees.

The ISO certificate highlights the efforts in conforming its internal operations  in accordance with the stipulated international standards, especially in the aspects of transparency, efficiency, and customer service.

According to city spokesperson Ms Loraine Acasio, the initiative was initiated as part of the city’s digital transformation roadmap spearheded by councilor Mercado.

Mercado said the certification is not just an honor but a formal affirmation that the local government is striving to provide quality and reliable services to the people, in line with global standards for government.

The official believes that achieving ISO certification opens up many opportunities for innovation, investment and the economy. (With reports from PRICTU)
