
MAASIN CITY, SOUTHERN LEYTE – In a show of strong inter-agency collaboration, the Department of Public Works and Highways Southern Leyte 1st District Engineering Office (DPWH SL1DEO) actively participated in the nationwide kick-off of Brigada Eskwela 2025, lending its technical expertise and manpower to help public schools in preparation for the opening of classes this coming June 16, 2025.
In addition to repair and cleaning works, DPWH SL1DEO also donated 20 pieces of Monoblock chairs to Baugo Elementary School, 12 gallons of white paints to Libhu Elementary School, and 200 pieces of hollowblocks to Lib-og Elementary School, all in Maasin City.
“Our participation reflects our strong partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and our continued commitment to building the nation through public service”, said District Engineer Manolo A. Rojas.
The DPWH’s participation in Brigada Eskwela aligns with its support of the Department of Education’s efforts to promote inter-agency partnerships and community volunteerism for school improvement.
