SLSU offers faster, efficient Covid contact tracing strategy

Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes delivers a message to ACTS Training-Workshop participants

TEAM BrIGHT. SLSU’s University President, Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes, delivered a message yesterday, July 15, 2020 to the proponents and participants of the Training- Workshop on the Use of Automated Contact Tracing System ( ACTS). The system is developed by College of Computer Studies and Information Technology headed by Dr. Alex C. Bacalla and in collaboration with Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sogod, Southern Leyte.

The system will help provide a faster, more efficient contact tracing of infected individual’s potential network of transmission routes. This will also help in minimizing exposure of individuals from potential virus carriers and lastly the system will provide Municipal IATF of Sogod a comprehensive report of an individual’s movement according to criteria set.

This project “ Empowering the Frontliners for Effective Community Quarantine Implementation is one of the Extension programs of CCSIT’s Bring I.T. to Governance for Holistic Transformation ( BrIGHT).
