Camp Gov. Alfredo K Bantug, Canturing, Maasin City – The Southern Leyte Police Provincial Office (SLPPO), through the leadership of its Provincial Director PCOL DANTE P NOVICIO, together with Maasin CPS, 1st and 2nd SLPMFC, SLEOD and Southern Leyte Airsoft Team, conducted a Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) with Red Teaming on August 26, 2021 at around 5:00 AM.
The SIMEX with Red Teaming is part of PNP’s target hardening measure to preempt critical incidents in the future. This activity is being undertaken in order to evaluate the operational readiness of all PNP Units of this Office in responding to any hostile action that the enemy may conduct in any opportune time and to identify, explore and familiarize the counter action of particular PNP Units in responding to enemy attack as well as in sending troops to a beleaguered PNP unit.
Prior to the conduct of the actual SIMEX, several briefings and coordinating conferences were done to ensure the proper implementation of this activity as well as to address possible issues that may arise in the course thereof.
The activity ended at around 7:30 AM of the same date with the following notes: security measures must be tightened up, there must be improvement of reinforcement plan, there must be availability of the equipment to be used as a means of communication, and the presence of personnel manning any PNP unit.
