She reported that Maasin City Resbakuna team administered 1,067 vaccine doses on Thursday, July 29.

Meanwhile, Maasin City Mayor Nacional Mercado congratulated our health care workers for conducting a safe, convenient, efficient vaccine roll-out in the identified vaccination centers, Saint Joseph College (SJC) Bishop Precioso Cantillas Gym and Maasin City Gymnasium.
Furthermore the mayor also thanked some private medical practitioners, who responded to the local government’s call in helping our CHU personnel do the massive vaccination.
“With COVID-19 vaccines now rolling out, we are very much thankful to our private medical practitioners, most especially to Dr. Thyam Fookson, Dr. Daisy Bollosoz, Dr. Gayleen Quirong Acasio, Dr. Malaya Mae Tan, Dr. Meg Fookson, Dr. Lisa Rich and Dr. Jennifer Abiera for responding to our call and rendering as much help as they can to augment to our vaccination team,” Mercado said.

In a relative development, an additional 1,000 doses of Janssen vaccines arrived and were received by our City Health Unit (CHU) last Friday, July 30.
