LGU-Maasin suspends work to observe ‘Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day’

MAASIN CITY – In line with Memorandum Circular No. 90 issued by the Office of the President, which declared last week of September of every year as Family Week, the city government of Maasin suspended work on Monday (Sept. 27) starting at 3:30 o’clock in the afternoon so that city hall employees can afford to celebrate and observe “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day.”

According to city mayor Nacional Mercado, during these trying times, everyone should continue to build strong bonds with our families.

The “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day” is celebrated every fourth Monday of September every year to encourage parents to frequently eat dinner with their children and be involved in their children’s lives.
