Having fully complied all requirements in the checklist, DILG Southern Leyte has been awarded the first Safety Seal issued by the DILG Maasin City Safety Seal Certification Program Inspection and Certification Team (SSCP-ICT) headed by CLGOO Vicente B. Maraon, DPA, together with the officers and personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Philippine National Police Maasin City Stations on July 30, 2021.
In support to the unified efforts and to further encourage other government and private establishments to adhere to the minimum public health standards to combat COVID-19 and assure the safety of the transacting public and its employees, DILG SLPO requested the City’s Inspection Team to conduct the assessment on July 28, 2021.
Also the first-ever inspection done by the ICT, the Office was evaluated on its prevention, detection, isolation and disinfection protocols. Availability of QR Code scanning using the StaySafe.ph App, temperature check, handwashing facilities, manual and online Health Declaration Forms, COVID-19 emergency hotlines, and other health safety measures such as wearing of face mask and face shield, proper office ventilation, physical distancing and waste management were looked into.
DILG SLPO enjoins other institutions and the public to heed government initiatives to hopefully end the pandemic.
